I joked that the cowl might be ready for use in the year 2020. Now I think that may have been a little optimistic. I started with 35 stitches (per the directions) and now all of a sudden have 49 or 53 ... I keep miscounting .... so its inevitably going to be an asymmetrical trapezoidy shape by the time I get it finished in 2025 or 2040.
So, basically I guess you could say that knitting is going well.
Really, really well.
The fact that you're even attempting to knit is quite miraculous! And just think, maybe by 2025 fun red skinnies will be back in style so you can just claim that you just started making it!

ReplyDeleteway. to. go! i bought some needles and yarn the other day and then promptly shoved them in the pile of things to do in my sewing area, i'm so scared to try. it looks great!
ReplyDeletePerfection! I made a hat one time... that would fit Shrek...
ReplyDeletelooks great! :) trapezoidal works... it all gets bunched up when you wear it anyway.
ReplyDeleteLaughing out loud!! You sounds like you're as skilled with needles and yarn as I am. Good luck! I can't wait to see completed pictures in the next 15 years or so.
ReplyDeleteI currently have a baby blanket that I'm crocheting that will match the shape of your cowl. Oh well...
