Who: Sebastian, Julia, Grace, and Simon
What: Crying it out war with Sebastian slash detachment parenting evildoing
When: tonight and every night
Where: Sebastian upstairs, Julia middlestairs, Grace and Simon basement
Why: Because King No-Sleep Sebastian's reign has come to an exhausted end
How: remove heart, insert headphones, enjoy looking back on the downright delectable moments of the day...
There.
I feel so much better.
At least we make the most of our days - jubilant style.
Totally fulfilled as the lone happy martyr and solicitor of rejected free hugs in this house of apparent horrors.

That last picture has me cry/laughing. Dying.
ReplyDeleteIs that JUST drool on Sebastian's shirt? Or a mix of drool and tears? Love Julia's, pattern mixing btw. So stylish.
ReplyDeleteI just love love love your blog. You crack me up with every post on real life motherhood. Oh isn't being a mom glamorous!?
ReplyDeleteMeggy from Chasing Davies and Chasing Babies
The top four pictures are actually accurate depictions of my exact emotions this morning/afternoon/evening. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteHAHA!!!! Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one! We're trying out detachment parenting finally and it's not going too well. LOL! "King No Sleep" is almost exactly what we call ours!
ReplyDeleteI raise my glass of wine to you, fellow mama. Because I know you are having some too... ;)
ReplyDeletepreeeeetty sure that Julia may be more fashion-forward than me, with all the layering of patterns.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Crank that music, drink some vino. You'll get through it.
Looks fun! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh no! I didn't think it was possible for Sebastian to look so sad. Truth time I guess! Here's to a better day.
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh...I know he probably doesn't sounds like it, but See Bass is the cutest crier I've ever seen. And Julia is killing me...is that a zebra-print jacket?..LOL We had a very similar day, a couple days ago. When they were really little, we used to put pillows over our head, and hide while they cried it out...
ReplyDeleteI know there's daily tragedy associated with these faces, but thank you for documenting and sharing, I nearly laughed myself off a chair.
ReplyDeleteDid you up your wine budget this month? Because you have to pad it for the CIO regime. Have.to.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your posts! You are hilarious! BTW- Joanna Watwood(Swenson) is my sister in law and I found out that you two were roomies in college. What a small world. Thanks for keeping me laughing.
ReplyDeleteSummer Swenson
That first picture of Julia is priceless. That sort of dramatic anger could land her her own Bravo realty show.
ReplyDeleteis J wearing gingham and leopard? i freaking LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteNumber 2, it makes me laugh!
ReplyDeleteHAHA!!! He won't even remember this - well...now he will since you posted about it :) Is it just me - or is it funnier that they are wearing stripes like they are prisoners???!!
ReplyDeleteThe look on your face in that last picture, Grace....holy cow. Hysterical!
ReplyDeleteHahahahah!!! That just makes me laugh!
ReplyDeleteHa! We just started crying it out this past weekend (a little behind since Jack's already 7 months) & I never imagined it would be this hard! Putting him down at night isn't so bad, it's the hour long middle of the night sessions that just kill me!
ReplyDeleteBoth your little ones are so adorable! Is it weird that I think babies look the cutest mid-cry?
