welcome to life outside the uterus, poor bruised little dude ...
Popeye ... is that you?
Someone was bound and determined to sound his trumpet and make his earthly debut in the sunniest side up position and has the swollen shut black eye, bruised tongue (?), and a mother very thankful for medicated births to prove it. Unlike his formerly newborn siblings, he has been sleeping (Julia completely refused) and eating (Sebastian was confused) like a champ which I will chalk up to his undoubtedly debilitating headache that will probably last quite some time.
God is good.
Welcome to the outside world little Theo!
and we know:
Grace was totally wrong on the confident gender prediction
now all we need is an Alvin
Kimye is totally trying to steal his thunder
Congrats, Grace and Simon! He is a cutie! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Grace & Simon! God is very good. Happy to hear all went well and that he's eating like a champ!
ReplyDeletePoor baby! I'm interested to see what he looks like when the bruising and swelling goes down. Not that he doesn't make a gorgeous Popeye.

ReplyDeleteOh congratulations on the precious little one! Also, you look amazing, but I must ask, is that some sort of childbirth scar on your neck? I hope that all is well, even though that is kind of freaking me out!
ReplyDeletePlease see: http://www.camppatton.com/2010/06/thryvor.html#.UOH0V3fNl8E
DeleteCongrats Pattons! Love the name, and Clare was sunnyside up, too. We always joked that it looked like she went down the wrong dark alley she was so swollen and bruised!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Hooray for new babies! And medicated births.
ReplyDelete(Also, it is dang fortunate for our pretend friendship that I've already had my baby, because if I were still pregnant and you'd just had your baby three weeks early? I would probably be forced to never speak to you again. In a kind and loving way).
Congrats on your new little boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Babe came early, 2012 baby! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteI am the oldest of three kids, with two younger brothers (& I love it!!)...Julia just hasn't realized her super-powers yet ;)
Good luck to your new family of 5, and blessings & love for you to cherish.
YAY!!

ReplyDeleteCongrats, congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Pattons!!! That was a well planned tax return! ;)
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Patton family! I love the name. Sounds like the HUGE baby predictions were right, even if the gender wasn't. ;) Poor little bruised forehead! I'm glad he and you made it through okay.
ReplyDeleteMy husband will be seriously impressed that he made it in time for the taxes- I'e had 2 babies due in January and he always wanted me to have them in December and was sad when they came when planned.
Deo Gratias! Congratulations, Pattons!!!! And, a second reason for Julia to cry.... I mean, smile!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Theo!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats times a million! :) Good luck with three kiddos! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I hope you are enjoying your hospitalication (my term for the joyful and peaceful time you get to spend with only one baby while at the hospital, which feels oddly like a vacation). Hopefully everything went well and you weren't pushing forever as I have heard those sunny-side-up babies are apt to make their mamas do. Your photos do make me the tiniest bit sad as my own baby-boy-third-child was born 7 short weeks ago and now my Leo would look like a sumo wrestler placed next to your Theo. As trite as it sounds, enjoy every newborn minute because before you know it, he will look like Basher and then Simon and you'll wish for those sweet newborn minutes back (because who wishes for the frustrating newborn minutes, right?) Congrats again and can't wait to hear the birth story write up!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Grace!!! He is beautiful! I am glad he is doing better (from IG updates). Much love to all of you!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS, Grace and family! He is beautiful! It is so fun to have more than 2. Enjoy #3 - time flies by with the 3rd one. Can't wait to read your future blog posts! Rest and enjoy right now. Those baby days are gone too soon. I'm so happy for you guys!

ReplyDeleteCONGRATS Grace!! Too awesome :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the sweet one! I've been reading for a little while but haven't commented {with my own newborn, I've gotten horrible at commenting on blogs... sigh}. I just couldn't resist this though! Many prayers for health and recovery. Sweet boy is adorable!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the whole family!
ReplyDeleteI love to hear birth stories and can't wait to hear this one. Congratulaions and he looks like a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the name. Totally jealous still pregnant mama over here (but not so much on the brusied eye part - poor sweet boy). Can't wait to read the birth story - I'm such a sucker for those.
