1. If you make it through this entire thing I'm going to assume that you are procrastinating something really awful or are insanely bored.
2. I don't know how on God's greenest earth I managed an intro and closing to emulate that of a 4th grade level power point ... hopefully I can figure out how to do it again to give a little tutorial for the curious.
3. I think we should quit while we're WAY behind ... or will you let us redeem our mumbley jumbley selves in a future installment to answer the rest of the questions? Comment now or forever hold your judgement.

Gida. :)
ReplyDeleteha. gYda ... makes all the difference I think??? maybe not.
DeleteThis is so cute! Please keep doing this and make sure Julia is with you. She's a riot!
ReplyDeleteWay to leave us hanging! What was he going to say? I vote more v-log!
ReplyDeleteMore please! This was really cute, especially J!
ReplyDeleteOk, so you are so pretty anyways, but you are so so pretty when you smile with your teeth! I don't think I've ever even seen them before! I will watch more if you make them. promise.
ReplyDeleteEnglish? English? My glasses? :) And I totally agree with Simon on the trash TV - it sucks you in! He is not alone.
ReplyDeleteHAAA! YUSSSS! day=made.
ReplyDeletealso, I don't know how you qualify that as boring! you craycray.
a couple thoughts:
1. Yes, Simon, your voice did indeed frighten me.
2. Grace, (prepare yourself for creepy) but hearing your voice just made me even more to be friends with you. There. I said it. Now it's out there and we can all move on.
3. Jew-ee-ah, you're adorbs. I die.
4. Super disappointed that we didn't get to hear Simon's fav name, but maybe for another time?
5. this was fab. DO.IT.AGAIN.
oo oo and maybe for the next one, we could just submit questions for J? She literally had me cracking up. English?
Ok, so I just need to tell you that to my Australian ears I thought your first date was at a TOPLESS restaurant! HAHA! Simon was right to spell it out. Love the blog.
ReplyDeleteIt's not just your Australian ears. It's Grace! She's seriously saying "topless restaurant". And Simon was just trying to cover it. S to the Cando
DeleteLove the vlog! Simon is more quiet than I thought he would be, and you are a super mellow/patient mom (I don't gently laugh when my 2 yr old daughter Grace is bugging me, I make her sit down or threaten timeouts),and Julia is SO good at talking! She speaks really clearly for her age & is so cute! Wish Basher had made it into the video :). And can't wait for another one, because I LOVE procrastinating by reading your blog :).
ReplyDeleteI watched this with my husband last night. His reaction, "This is what it would be like if we made a vlog." lol.
ReplyDeleteThen he just laughed at my blog-reading ridiculousness.
Thanks for sharing! :)
Yay! It came back! Loved Julia's commentary in the back, english english english english! And I wonder if TBP knows he got a shout out on the blog? Locking horns?
ReplyDeleteMore vlogs! More! Vlogs!
Love it! Such a sweet family. I was indeed procrastinating something really awful but I was totally in. Aannnddd, I kinda thought you had your first date at a topless restaurant as well. :) Keep those vuh-logs comin from the camp! ;)
ReplyDeleteI think we were all terribly afraid of Simon's deep voice, but will muster the courage if it means more vlog!
ReplyDeleteAnd your unschooling must be working - Julia seems very excited about the Engwish language.
1. I wanted to scoop Julia up and give her a hug. A-dor-a-ble.
ReplyDelete2. I gotta agree with Simon on Gyda. Apologies to the lady watching with that name.
3. I loved seeing how much love there was between you guys. It warms the heart.
4. It takes a real man to admit that he gets sucked into the Bachelor. Or maybe I'm only saying that 'cause the hubby is more addicted than I am.
#3 So sweet and so true
Deletewhat a good start to my morning. this was great.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so funny. Let's be friends. And I agree that Basher deserves some screen time next time!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious.....maybe no Guida?
ReplyDeleteYou're the oldest of 7, Grace?! How old are your siblings? I'm the oldest of five and we are 26, 23, 19, 16 and 12! And Julia saying Basher was SO cute!!!
ReplyDeletehaha, I love it! This makes me even more excited to see you guys in May. The Gyda part at the end had me laughing out loud at my desk.
ReplyDeletein May with Baby Numbbbbeerrrrrr THREeEeeeEEeE! (Oprah voice)
DeleteI'm dying to see Julia as a flower girl. Will she have two little brothers, or will she have one of each?! One thing we know. He or she won't be named Guida!
My goal is to be each of the three childses favorite person by the end of the wedding week.
DeleteBride says she shall be the childses favorite person
Delete;)
LOL ok so i only got a minute in because people started crying and I had to go help them but my fav moment was Simon spelling "tapas" and stating that "sometimes people don't understand what we say."
ReplyDeleteOkay, shout out to myself but I live in Alexandria VA (transplant from MI four years ago) and probably have been to the "topless" bar you speak of. No joke, when my friend asked if I wanted to go on a double date there, I was thinking, "That's a bit extreme and kind of weird for a first date."
ReplyDeleteLoved this! And the overall consensus seems to be that Simace must continue to vlog...you know, with the copious free time you have :) Loved seeing the 3 of you semi-live! Basher to have a cameo next episode? I hope I hope I hope!
ReplyDeleteBTW - Noticed your amaaaaze wedding pics in the background. I want your photog for my nonexistent/notplanned/notclose/notreal wedding in the notnearfuture :) Hope he's not booked in 2015!
Simon looks thrilled. Yet a better sport than JJ would ever be. Maybe I will sneak a video of him dancing with the kids. And we miss Julia mucho.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... How did I miss the repost??? I love it... I watched the whole thing, and while I did HAPPEN to be avoiding the laundry, it was a 6 minutes well spent. (I made my husband watch, which he did with an enthusiasm matched only by Simon's for the camera.
ReplyDeleteahhhh! I'm so happy that you got to put it back up and that you mentioned it in the Golden Weekend post. I eventually stopped refreshing your page and came to grips with the reality that there would be no vlog after all. It's like a Christmas miracle! (Ok, Advent. Ok, ok, alleged miracle.)
ReplyDeletewe. need. more. And next time it better have basher, too.
Sorry but I'm with Simon on Gyda... Would love to hear his suggestions though! Maybe next time Basher will make an appearance?
ReplyDeleteOh this cracked me up... thank you Simon for letting Grace post it :)
ReplyDeleteI get so excited to watch vlogs! It's like reading a whole new blog...in Grace's voice. Also, I was so confused at the first date question. I was pretty certain you told us that you went to a topless bar. A few more replays later and I decided it was tapas. Not as exciting, but probably much better food.
ReplyDeleteLove love love! I saw this pop up in my Google Reader the other day and was sooooo disappointed when I went to read it was...i>b>!! I love the way you look at him....so in love! Vulnerable, caring,.....in love! And he acts all "uncomfortable, kinda-not-into", but the fact that he is, shows that he cares about what you care about! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteK...mis-understood my husband's com box commands. Sorry, I'm just a girl, too stupid to understand html. kidding! Kinda.
ReplyDeleteyesss, so glad you reposted this! i went to click the link the other day and it had disappeared. glad simon came to his senses ;) you guys are so cute!
ReplyDeleteJust saw this now. I've been so busy with work, trying to play catch up. Wow, you are different then I pictured in my head. Well, you sound different than I imagined is what I mean if that makes any sense. Really cool, love that you did the video because I have a better idea of your personalities now. Very fun! :)
ReplyDeleteAll I could think the whole time is "Grace is so hot! So hot." You didn't even have fancy camera angles or anything. Just a web cam and that much hotness? Oh my gosh, this comment is getting creepy, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteUm...your kids are cute?
Maybe Ju-wia can have a vlog Q&A next??
ReplyDeletehow did i miss this??! best. julia is so cute. dang.
ReplyDeleteENGLISH!
ReplyDeleteSo fun to hear you guys talk and interact- and tell Simon that he didn't embarrass himself :) I love that he mentioned that he didn't want to offend anyone with a daughter named Gyda, shows his sensitive side :) I also agree that Julia should have her own vlog Q & A soon!
ReplyDeleteyou guys are so adorable!!!! my girls enjoyed the video too. haha.
ReplyDeleteThis vlog was a worthy object of my kitchen-cleaning procrastination.
ReplyDeleteI l-o-v-e Gyda. Seriously. Middle name? Although, my husband rejects 99.9% of my name loves, so I get it.
And Philomena laughed and "talked" to Julia the whole time. She's a big fan of English too, apparently.
The disappearing post! I finally found it! But alas, the kids were screaming too loud (which is a few decibels over loud enough), so I couldn't hear anything. Guess I'll have to watch again -- and yes, another vlog!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I enjoyed it, you guys were just as I pictured. Helpful suggestion: I had to turn my volume way up, so a little less mumbling? :) Looking forward to the next one :)
ReplyDeletethe love between you two is so sweet...love the way you look at each other! You can tell you are very much in love! :)
ReplyDelete
