What I Wore Sunday

lean a little more to the left and look a liiiiiitttle more unnatural. there. perfect.

I cannot tell a lie - usually. This is what I wore to Mass on both Friday night and on Saturday night (because in case your e-brethren did not remind you on Facebook or Twitter or the internet -- you! better! not! have! only! gone! to! one! Mass! you! heathen!) and in between and I think I ran with a vestless and bootless version for my nighttime clothes. I think. Things got wild and we went to two different churches and had the absolute pleasure of not taking the kids to Mass on Friday which was the perfect combo of weird and glorious. I hope we can do it again one day.

At the Mass we did take the kittens to .. Julia removed her coat and boots promptly upon arrival into our pew and sang a beautiful ode to Dora while lovingly gazing at a statue of Mary - she didn't even let Sebastian's new trick (bucking like a bronco) break her focus and concentration. I asked her to fold her hands together on the way up to communion and she clasped them behind her back and held on for life. I know, I know ... I smell a vocation too.

outwhofitcares:
vest: Gap via eBay
leggings: Target
tunic (on sale!! I want to buy 78 more): Old Navy Maternity
boots: Famous Footwear

kids Mass behavior grades:
Julia: B- for her pious efforts
Bash: D+ for tearing my glasses off my face 92 times after not letting me clip his claws all week long
(how do they say it in the land of Simon? oh yes ... "little shit")

Linking up with the lovely ladies over at Fine Linen and Purple and I hope you do the same.

  1. ohmygoodness, please can Julia become a nun?!? Is there a St. Dora that she can take as her nun name?

  2. Super cute. I'm getting brown boots for Christmas so you can expect a healthy dose of creeping on your 'fits come December 26th-ish.

Also, Simon's term is highly clinical or at least I use it all the time in a clinic. Same thing, right?

  3. snicker, snicker, snicker says the heathen...seriously? how did I not realize Saturday's solemnity and HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION until today? Mama needs an RCIA 'fresher and clearly I barely touched the net all weekend. ..

  4. Cute! And I think we do have the same boots. I wear them with everything, don't know what I'm going to do when they wear out (they sadly already have a few loose threads).

I wore the same outfit to mass yesterday and today too (except a different sweater). Yes.

  9. Haha I am sure it wasn't funny at the time but it is humorous reading your story now. Your children sound like sweet kids! And of course, you look stylish as always!

  11. Cute!! Are you perhaps the cutest and most stylish pregnant lady ever? I think so! Great look. My kids were beeeeeeeeasts at church yesterday too. Perhaps going twice in the same day just did them in.

  21. Only made it to one Mass this weekend. Wore jeans and a tee shirt. The tee shirt had smeared babyfood on the shoulder, and would had benefitted tremendously from the addition of a puffy vest.

I have placed myself on WIWTM timeout until my wardrobe can behave nicely.

  22. You look amazing, Grace! I love that tunic with your boots! I have a puffer vest (mine's navy, too) that I wear all the time, but I've never paired it with a dress--you're inspiring me here!
