Back when I lived in DC I was lucky enough to know lots of old friends I'd gone to college with but also make lots of new friends and one of those new-to-me friends was a guy named Pete. Well, fine, he was better friends with one of my roommates and my friend Ruth but still ... we all hung out and he was always a ton of fun. Fast forward a few years and isn't the world the tiniest place ever because through blogging I met Peter's sweet sister Nell over at Whole Family Parenting. She puts me to shame in all of her organic cooking and crafting and sewing and parenting endeavors and still manages to be the nicest gal around. She's runs one of the cutest Etsy shops I've come across ... she's got gorgeous skirts in stock that I've been eying for Julia, blankets that I've decided I will make at LEAST one my own of these days, tons of bandit bibs that come in SO many gorgeous patterns, and contour cloths as well.
The contour cloth is the most brilliant concept and even though I'd thought Theo was through his spitting phase ... it came back with a vengeance two days ago and I don't dare to show you a photo of it in all it's used glory but ... we love it. I know bibs aren't a necessity especially when babies like Theo prefer to just eat shirtless but if your baby is anything like Theo ... he/she has the gross ability to store food all up in his neck folds and the snug fit of this bib cuts his bath time in half which is mucho appreciated on days like today when we're looking at Simon coming home after bedtime. Oh! And this bib is virtually baby-proof in that they cannot rip it off because in lieu of a Velcro closure: a button. I told you - Nell's a genius.
Best of luck!!
