Wellllll, I think we all miraculously managed to steer clear of Simon's flu but someone (and that usually means someone else followed by someone else etc etc) woke up with a bit of a stomach bug so all plans (all plans being a haircut) are on hold for the day while I dole out the Welch's (see what I did there? I hope you did, I HOPE you did) and pray the bug is blessed with a short shelf life.
totally and completely related: the baby is growing right along
crisp full length photo fail. couldn't leave you hanging though.
President Day sales weren't on my radar but then I kept seeing them so I thought I'd share in the event that you're homebound too or on the hunt for a deal/steal.
LOFT - always pulling through with a generous 60% of their sale items and 40% off everything else. I LOVE this blouse and this sweater.
Urban Outfitters - 40% off home and tech items. My favorite place to find Anthro-style bedding at very unAnthro-style prices.
Old Navy - loads of items are 50% off and then an additional 30% off with code HUGE. I've sung my loud and proud praises for their sculpting denim and lots of my friends echo my sentiments so don't just take my word for it. I also have and love the maternity version of this shirt and it's the perfect spring into summer top (I'm getting ahead of myself, always! always).
Amazon - not Presidents Day specific but I've been checking their Deals of the Day lately because you can find some really crazy steals. I'm in the market for some sort of dust bust buster/dirt devil because I've tricked myself into thinking it's going to make life easier (they do have this one on sale today but the reviews are meh).
Madewell - 30% off sale styles. If you're in the market for some rain boots or cute tennis shoes - they're all over it.
I'll stop there. Let me know if you find any sales worth sharing - I'd be much obliged!
oh! and did you see there's going to be a Downton prequel?!
Happy(ish) Monday!

Dust busters are the best thing EVER with kids! I love this one - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006LXOJC0/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER It looks almost identical to the one you linked to, but is so much better. It has a stand charger, so you do not have to plug it in. You just grab it and go and then put it back on. I accidently bought the one you linked thinking it was this one and I could not with the plug in. It's a little pricier but worth it - and the price will probably come down (think I got ours for around $30). I have another in my Amazon cart so I can watch the price and get another when it comes down a bit - we need another one upstairs. I LOVE it and apparently have lots of thoughts on hand vacs. Bottom line: BUY ONE!
ReplyDeletePS: Congratulations on the coming baby! You make gorgeous little people and I look forward to following the adventures of the new one too. :)
I agree!! I have the lithium and its awesome and I bought it for 75$ I see it costs 50$. My friend that owns a dyson hand vac thought this one was wayyyy better too! Has great suction and easy to charge and has been a game changer for clean up!!!
DeleteI have this exact DustBuster and love it! My MIL got it for me two Christmases ago (it was on my list and she really didn't want to get me it) and it's awesome! I wish it held a little longer of a charge, but other than that it works great! And for $20 you should get it.
ReplyDeleteI stocked up on a few things at Old Navy. 50% off athletic wear! Plus if you are a cardholder, extra 10% off! And free shipping, no minimum with a code!
ReplyDeleteWe have some version of this and it's been life-changing: https://www.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-BDH1600PL-Lithium-Vacuum/dp/B00YQV4CYY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487646398&sr=8-3&keywords=pivot+vac
ReplyDeleteJust moved to Tampa and in dire need of a cut and hilite. Who does your hair?
ReplyDeleteI've never colored my hair but Luis at Mikels cuts my hair - he's so, so great!! I'm sure he does awesome highlights too!
DeleteThat's awesome that your hair is that beautiful color! So jealous. i finally broke down and highlighted.
DeleteYou know what would reallllly make your life easier? A roomba. Our labradoodle "doesn't shed" but somehow the roomba ends up full of dog hair everyday - plus it is KEY living in a beachy environment because it picks up crazy amounts of sand I never have the patience to deal with.
ReplyDeleteha! I would love one of those!
DeleteI got the dust buster that you linked to for Christmas and love it. Works great for random crumb messes after meals/snacks and also quick dog hair pick ups.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for commenting after Molly but we have that dust buster and I'd say stay away from it. We've had it for a couple of years and it was great at first but now it has to be plugged in all the time and works for about ten seconds (not kidding) before it dies. Maybe we need to replace the battery, I don't know, but still, I'm disappointed.
ReplyDeleteOkay, your shoes!!! ๐ Are they as amazing as they look? I have them in my cart, but with the steep price and no reviews, I feel like I need more info. Do you love love them?
ReplyDeleteGirl I got my husband a dustbuster for Christmas and it was the BEST veiled gift to myself EVER. <3
ReplyDeleteA downtown prequel say whaaaaaat?! ๐
ReplyDeleteMy mom has a handheld with a base that stays plugged in and you just return it to the base when done. Yes, after 2+years it only runs for about 5 minutes tops but I can attest that she loves it for quick pick ups in the laundry room(tile) and guest bath. Picks up quick, I am a convert for using it in tiled spaces like bathrooms because it's so quick to use and really gives that 1-2 week hot mop as much life as possible. Good Lord I am now using phrases like "hot mop" to describe activities with zero irony๐. Good Luck Grace๐
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I must have missed the baby announcement post! How can I find it?
ReplyDeleteGrace! I've been eyeing Roolee's inventory for months. Love it, do you find it true to size? I'm in between a small and a medium and can't bring myself to decide! Advice?
ReplyDeletetrue to size - maybe a little bit big!! :)
DeleteYOUR SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
